Blessed Borders Z-test × Caitria EyeEnergy

Lucie Nováková · Lunar Fields

Collaboration with the Lunar Fields Breeding Kennel – Border Collie

Lucie from the Lunar Fields breeding kennel reached out to us to create a stud flyer for litter “A”. Sire Blessed Borders Z-test (Teg) and dam Caitria EyeEnergy (Caia) – two working Border Collies, both active in sheep herding.

Lucie came with very clear requirements: a natural, elegant style with sheep in the background as a nod to both parents’ working heritage, the kennel’s typographic logo as a dominant element, and an FCI watermark. She provided complete health results, pedigrees, and contact details including social media icons.

Our approach

The breeder provided action shots of both dogs plus a photo together. We refined five variants based on her detailed feedback – from logo placement and font sizes to portrait proportions. Lucie knew exactly what she wanted, and her precise notes helped us get the flyer exactly right.

The result

The final flyer features both parents herding, with sheep in the background and an elegant natural atmosphere. Lucie ended up handling a small icon fix herself and published the flyer immediately. In her words: “Thank you so much for the beautiful work.”

ChatGPT attempts

Lucie first tried creating the flyer directly in ChatGPT. The result? The AI generated completely different dogs and couldn't even handle the kennel's basic typographic logo. There were many more attempts, but they all turned out similarly.

ChatGPT attempt 1 – generated wrong dogs
ChatGPT attempt 2 – again different dogs
ChatGPT attempt 3 – similar result
I tried making the flyer in ChatGPT, but unfortunately the AI generated different dogs and couldn't even handle the basic typographic logo. There were far more attempts, but they all turned out similarly and I ran out of patience.

Canva attempts

Lucie also tried designing her own version in Canva. These attempts look notably better – she clearly has a good eye for design. But it still took hours of work.
